San Francisco: Internet giant, Google, has developed a computer steering system. Even today, they're lobbying for these technologies to be used legally. Two types of vehicles has been tested for the pilot project, namely the Toyota Prius and Audi TT. Google seeking systems that can be used in Nevada, USA.
Computer control system of lasers to detect the video camera around and make know the traffic situation. Detailed maps are also used to determine a route by route. The proposed regulation is a law that gave permission and trial for electric-powered autonomous vehicle. David Goldwater lobbyists hired by Google to the business.
Last month, Goldwater told MPs that a vehicle that can drive itself is more secure than human-driven. In addition, these vehicles even more efficient in energy use. This system is a warm conversation after Google's test on the streets of California, U.S., years ago by taking more than 140 thousand miles.
The vehicle was transporting staff, but their hands never touch the wheel. One alert staff to hold the rudder in case of problems, and other staff oversee the trap software. There are seven vehicles that already use Google to trial. The only accident that occurred when the vehicle is driven by human butting the auto-pilot vehicle.
"Our goal is to prevent traffic accidents, give people more time and reduce carbon emissions because fundamentally alter the use of vehicles," said Thrun, researcher in charge of the test. He also said the vehicle was not endangering road users.
