Police Gather Evidence Makar NII

Police are still gathering evidence of the alleged plot or plan of action plots by the group Islamic State of Indonesia (NII), as disclosed parties who claim a former follower of the NII. Without any evidence, police could not follow.

As stated by Chief of Police Public Information Section, Senior Commissioner Joey Boy Amar at Police Headquarters on Friday (06/05/2011).

"To be able to persangkakan people in the act of treason of course we can not just stories and then accuse others of treason. Of all should be based on legal facts. So the process goes on. We look for continued whether there really people who want to treason," said Boy.

Boy added, it also still investigating whether the rampant cases of missing persons in the region of Central Java, Yogyakarta, Bogor, and other city related action plan for treason or just a scam by a group who rode the name of the NII.

To the community, added Boy, it asked not to be too show excessive concern for the issue of the NII. Police asked all parties, both the Ministry and families related to both prevent similar cases do not reoccur.

"We all must prevent not to get our family get invitations by groups that openly call NII groups or other groups on behalf of NII," said Boy.
