The procession on foot to Borobudur temple was first started with devotional worship at the altar court Mendut conducted approximately at 07.30 pm. Puja was followed by thousands of devoted Buddhists and the Council of Representatives Support the Indonesian Buddhists (Walubi).
After the puja devotional chanting and readings completed, at around 09.00 am, followed by a carnival procession. Rows of the procession participants include the carrier consisting of rows of red and white flag and flag Walubi. Followed by ornamental vehicle carrying the relics of the Buddha, Dharma car carrying Fire, and Holy Water.
Rows of monks and Buddhists bikhuni also seen walking with say a prayer. They walked while carrying flowers tuberose. In fact, to enliven the procession, some traditional arts, such as masks and Reog Ponorogo ireng also participate.
Arriving at the Borobudur Temple, the relics of the Buddha was subsequently taken down from the car next to be buried at the altar which is located in the west court of the Borobudur Temple. In addition to relics, Fire and Water Holy Dharma participate interred.
According to the Chairman Walubi, Hartati Murdaya, warning Tri Holy Vesak this time as a reflection back to the unconformity level behaviors that are contrary to nature and the Buddha Dharma for one year.
"With practice the sublime teachings of the Buddha, by obeying and carrying out the teachings of virtue and nobleness maintain dharma.
