President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono admitted was forced to shut for two months to support the success of the operation to free the MV Holy Rays held hostage by Somali pirates for almost 46 days.
Speaking while receiving the Task Force of the Red White and I/2011 Ocean Ambassador, the President said, although many comments, criticisms, and reviews, he chose silence.
"Once again, special operations like that require confidentiality, security needs, its implementation requires speed, and also pendadakan. Therefore, if we will or the sale of what we're doing, we might as well tell the enemy, opponent, for any moment thwart our operations and could destroy our own unit, "he said.
On that occasion, the President said publicly the whole discussion process undertaken by the Government in an effort to free the ship following the Holy Light 20 crew safely.

Secret mission
Since the first day of Holy Light hijacked, Yudhoyono said, his ministers have been reported to him. The President then immediately held a limited five consecutive meetings to prepare the departure of the Task Force for the liberation of Somali pirates.

Holy Light MV Somali pirates hijacked on March 16, 2011 and a 20-ABK. When hijacked, MV Holy Rays are in the waters of Somalia, precisely at about 350 nautical miles southeast of Oman. The ship held by pirates for 46 days until finally released on May 1, 2011 with ransom money worth more than Rp 40 billion.
